Central Perth Skin Clinic will be running a regional branch clinic in Port Hedland starting in March 2023, trading as Hedland Skin Cancer Clinic. We will be working in partnership with Pilbara Mole Mapping to provide a comprehensive skin cancer service to the residents of Hedland and the Pilbara.

We will run our clinics every few weeks with one of our doctors visiting from Perth to provide a full range of services including skin cancer checks, biopsies, skin cancer removals and treatments. Appointments will be limited and priority will be given to people who require procedures such as skin cancer removal whilst we are in Hedland.

In between our visits, you can still have your skin screened by Pilbara Mole Mapping. They will take comprehensive photographs of your skin and any lesions needing closer attention, as well as paying attention to any concerns you have. Our doctors will be reviewing these images and, together with Pilbara Mole Mapping, organise appropriate follow up for you. This may include a telehealth consult with one of our doctors to discuss the findings, an in-person check next time we visit Hedland and/or booked straight in for any biopsies or procedures that you may need.

Consultation Fees

Hedland Skin Cancer Clinic is a private billing practice and accounts are due on the day of your appointment or procedure, unless otherwise advised. You will be eligible for a rebate from Medicare if you hold a current card.

If you do not have a Medicare card you will need to enquire with any insurance you have if you are eligible for a rebate. Please ask for an invoice or receipt if needed. Please note we are unable to claim from an insurer on your behalf.

Appointments for a skin check lasting less than 20 minutes are $160 (medicare rebate $39.75) & 20-40 minutes $230 (medicare rebate $76.95). Biopsies and other procedures including skin cancer surgery will incur extra charges and will be discussed at the time of the consultation.

Please note that if you where you have been photographed by Pilbara Mole Mapping and have subsequent follow up with us, the fees applicable will be determined by the nature of the follow up required and as such the above fees may not be applicable. All biopsy or procedure fees will be disclosed prior to or at the time of booking.
